On September 12 Timberland reveals its global “ICONIC” campaign that features four worldwide icons presenting their original character – and especially the essence of the Original Yellow Boot™.

Timeless, authentic, original: this is what The Original Timberland® Boot has been since 1973, when the brand introduced their brand-new 8-inch “The Timberland” being one of the first truly waterproof leather boot on the market.

Whether raves in the UK, a sign of individuality in Tokyo or the hip hop revolution: the iconic yellow Timberland has been around for more than 50 years not only in the fashion world. Being the ultimate brand when it comes to boot culture, the newest campaign channels the immense supportive energy they have gained since their 50thanniversary and puts it all in the new campaign that symbolizes fearlessness and self-expression.

Much like the boot itself, the new campaign is simply “ICONIC.” Featuring four global icons – Naomi Campbell, Teddy Swims, Slawn and Kai-Isaiah Jamal – it highlights the originality of the boot through the unique perspectives and styles of the creatives.

It shows each of the four standing in front of a simple-colored backgrounds allowing their strong personality – and especially the Original Yellow Boot™ – hold the spotlight.  A combination of both makes it possible that the campaign succeeds without needing anything else.

Features like the padded leather collar for a comfortable hug around the ankle, the taslan laces – some of the strongest and longest lasting around – or the waterproof nubuck leathers with injection-molding technology take center stage and have been part of the shoe since its debut in the early 70s. These and many more attributes contribute to its extraordinary quality and make it to one of the most recognizable boots worldwide.
