I am not a Blonde is releasing the music video to “Speak Loud”.

The Milan-based band “I´m not a Blonde” is releasing a music video to their heartfelt single “Speak Loud” as another forecast for the new EP “This Is Light” dated for release on April 8th. The melodic masterpiece is discussing the moment of change, a metamorphosis giving everything a new, lighter order. The duo has written the piece during the first lockdown in Italy, cutting the daily freedom and joy of millions.

The beautifully composed video by Giorgio Bosisi reflects what is going through the heads of Ida and Zoe, the two female protagonists, alter egos of Chiara and Camilla. Starting with the feeling of consuming boredom and loneliness, they make a journey towards joy and vitality.

“The idea behind the music video was the one of stepping back into the silence and stillness of the first months of lockdown, developing a narrative that could be written through the interaction between body and space. The need to redefine ourselves in the absence and subtraction of what gave us meaning and purpose before, reimagining a new horizon of possibilities through the encounter with the other. With Ida and Zoe, the two performers, we worked on two levels, one real and one so to say more abstract. Using the song, the lyrics, and Camilla and Chiara’s reflections as a guide we decided on a starting and end point, leaving the rest to improvisation.” – Giorgio Bosisio, director
