PLAYLIST PT. 34: LEEPA

vor 4 years

Each week, OOR Studio reaches out to various artists, musicians, and those will otherwise all-around good taste to create a playlist for us to play within our offices. Of course we share the best ones with you!

It’s Monday which means it’s time for another playlist. For this week, we have 21-year-old Berlin-based Leepa who mixes politics and pop culture in a playful way. With her funky pop music, she is the just the right to ask for this week’s rainy days ahead. But before you listen to her carefully curated playlist, read the little chat we had with her.

Hey Leepa! How has music helped you in the past? How do you wish to help others with your music?

Music is my balance. My whole life. Whenever i would stray too far from the path i was supposed to go, music would pull me back on track. It’s hard to describe but it’s this strong force that has been dictating and saving my life ever since i can remember.

Honestly i want my music to do that exact thing for others as well because everyone needs something like that and i’d be honored if my music could be that for other people.

What else is concerning in the times we live in?

The most concerning thing to me right now is that there are still so many topics that cause harm and trauma. We should know better by now.

What would you like to see more in the music industry?

Women. People of color. Lgbtq+ members. Both up front and behind the scenes…

What are you currently working on ?

I’m currently working on my next few singles that are going to be coming out veeeery soon. I’m also trying to use this time to just generally work on my artistry every day – wether that be practicing live performance or writing and recording.
