MCM & KÖNIG join forces once more, landing in the Korean capital
For several years, our favorite art space in Berlin, the König Galerie, has been cooperating with the luxury fashion house MCM. König was allocated a full floor at the MCM flagship store in Tokyo through the end of last year. Because of travel restrictions, we were sad to see it go, as we didn’t get the chance to make it there! But then news was revealed this week that König has brewing something else up with MCM… They will be opening up in the Korean capital of Seoul, in the district of Gangnam, taking over a full floor and rooftop of the beautiful MCM structure. While König has been directly involved in the Korean art scene for a while, this further solidifies their placement in the budding art city (and art world), as well as links Berlin-based artists to a more international market.
