Fräulein x Horsegiirl, co-hosted by Zalando: behind the scenes of our party at 8MM Bar

vor 5 months

Our barn, our rules: We transformed legendary 8 mm Bar in Berlin into a stable. But not just any stable – Horsegiirl’s stable. The hottest DJ in the electro scene, who has made a horse mask her signature look, performed for us during Berlin Fashion Week at the Fräulein x Horsegiirl Party co-hosted by Zalando

When Fräulein issue 37, „New Woke“, with Horsegiirl on the cover was released, it was clear to us: It deserved a party that no one would forget anytime soon. And of course, there was only one person who could be behind the DJ booth – Horsegiirl herself. Thanks to the support of our long-time partner Zalando, it was made possible: We invited our community to the first Fräulein party of its kind during Berlin Fashion Week.

See the Fräulein x Horsegiirl Party co-hosted by Zalando in pictures, captured by Simon Rähles:

Horsegiirl is a phenomenon. She is the star of the international electronic music scene, famous for her horse mask, for having shaped a new genre called happy hardcore, and her captivating live performances. Born and raised in a small town in Germany, she began experimenting with music at an early age and learned to play several classic instruments – the foundation of her skills at the DJ booth.

To us, she embodies the core of the Fräulein attitude: a woman who has found her own path and follows it with passion and without compromise. Someone who builds her own world and shares it with others, inspiring them to be fully themselves.

And that’s exactly what Horsegiirl did that night at 8 mm Bar: giving the Fräulein community, already heated up by DJ Free Jimi, who, like Horsegiirl, is part of the music label Live from Earth, a break from reality. In the authentic venue, where Rock ‘n’ Roll usually plays, her mega-hit “My Barn, My Rules” echoed through the night. This track went viral on TikTok in 2023 and has since become a guaranteed mood booster.

Meanwhile, the images from her photo shoot for Fräulein were projected onto the walls. When we had Horsegiirl in front of the camera earlier this year and asked her what emotion she wanted to convey with her music, her response was: “I like euphoric because I like the big emotions. I’m not a minimalist.” And we couldn’t agree more: Nights like these are precious and should be enjoyed to the fullest.

Miriam Marlene captured impressions from the Fräulein Dinner:

Beforehand, we invited Fräulein’s friends & family to a dinner at the nearby Gina Bistro. Among the guests were actress Luisa Gaffron, author Jovana Reisinger, whose play “Enjoy, Schatz” is currently being shown at the Schaubühne, gallery owner Anahita Sadighi, artists Rebecca Ackroyd and Mean Goddess, tech entrepreneur Marjorie Hernandez, top model Nicole Atieno, author Johanne Larsen, designers Jale Richert (Richert Beil), Cheyenne Tulsa (Cotiere), Lou de Betoly, author Maria Hunstig (Vogue Germany), creative consultants Alexandra Bondi de Antoni and Hella Schneider, photographers Tereza Mundilova and Miriam Marlene, stylist Tabassom Charaf, performance artist Lydia Toompere, Bianca Rüssel (Haebmau Atelier), Riani Tanjasila (Senior PR Manager Germany Zalando SE), Nora Gernentz (Head of Operations Studio XYZ), beauty entrepreneur Stella Hinderer, Jeanna Krichel (Executive Fashion Editor Fräulein/ Numéro Berlin/ Numéro Homme Berlin), and Ann-Kathrin Riedl (Editor in Chief Fräulein).

Our special thanks go to:
