Polaroid Releases New Mini-Camera & Arlo Parks takes it for a test spin
We at Fräulein can never get enough of Polaroid. We use it in the office, on shoots, with friends, and at home. We want to take our cameras with us everywhere! But the traditional Polaroid model is sometimes left at home, simply because of its size (and dependent on our purse!) Our plea was heard from somewhere beyond, when we got wind that Polaroid would be releasing an even more-portable model called the GO. Yes, there are other camera companies that have been making smaller models, but the Polaroid GO film is bigger and of much better quality than its competitors, and the camera itself includes a small selfie mirror on the front as well as a self-timer option. Really, everything we could ever want in a revamped Polaroid camera is found in the new GO, and we haven’t taken it out of our hands since.
To celebrate the launch of the new Polaroid GO, they sent batches of film to up-and-coming artists and creatives, and we got to help choose! One camera went to the British singer, songwriter, and poet Arlo Parks who recently nabbed a number of nominations at the British Music Awards (including Album of the Year and Best New Artist.) We have been listening to her newest album Collapsed in Sunbeams on repeat the last couple months, and were very happy to see the intimate behind-the-scenes images she created with her new Polaroid GO camera, from the making of an upcoming music video shoot to a simple stroll through the park.
