Book Launch: SACRED PLACES X TEKLA FABRICS

A selection of dreamy pictures from the new photobook “Sacred Places”

Soft, hazy lighting along a beautiful coastline creates an intimate feeling that fits perfectly alongside the understated design of Tekla Fabrics. Photographer Philip Messmann captured some intimate summer memories, that we will definitely be flipping back through in a few months, under heaps of blankets while fantasizing about salty air and the glint of sun.

Anholt is a small Danish island with endless ridges of dunes at the fine sandy beach. The sun shines from an always just-slightly-cloudy sky, which reflects against blue water full of waves and ripples. No cars; few people; the perfect secluded idyll for a short staycation. Messmann calls Anholt “sacred”, which is a truly fitting description. The fashion photographer/director, based in Copenhagen, shot this recent project with the Danish interiors and lounge line Tekla Fabrics on the island earlier this year in May.

The result is this limited edition, highly personal photo book Sacred Places , full of scenic images that capture the atmosphere of the island and the beauty of his muse, the Danish model Fredrikke Sofie. Tranquility and composure, peace and beauty. For more information, go here.
