Ambush’s Collaboration with Moët & Chandon

vor 4 years

Dior, Ambush, Nike & now,
Moët & Chandon …

Yoon Ahn’s credentials as a designer are nothing short of spectacular. Whether or not you have heard of her by name, you surely have seen some of her designs, if you keep an eye anywhere near the pulse of fashion, be it jackets draping the shoulders of star athletes, or statement jewellery gracing the necks of Dior couture … Not to mention her own label AMBUSH, taking off and gaining momentum by the day. We wrote about it earlier this month, deeming it one of our favorite new collections of the year.
And now, her newest collaboration is with none other than the one and only Moët & Chandon champagne. Not only is Yoon the first woman to be offered the chance at reimagining the Moët label, but this marks the first time in which a designer has been allowed to rework the traditional bottle’s actual design. Yoon chose to strip it down to a minimal design: an elegant monochromatic color scheme with a clean, modern label, choosing to keep the iconic red wax stamp. Our favorite detail.
“I was thrilled to be given carte blanche to re-design the bottle of Moët Imperial. It was a great challenge given its recognizable and iconic codes, but I also saw it as a great opportunity to bring my own aesthetics to this iconic champagne.
A portion of the sales from each bottle sold will be donated to the World Land Trust, a conservation charity that protects natural habitats. Yoon chose this charity after her visit to Epernay, the agricultural heartland where the Moët & Chandon vineyard is located since its inception in 1743. The support from this Moët & Chandon x AMBUSH collaboration will have a direct impact on stopping the deforestation of the Choco, which will ensure the longevity of a number of fragile species, and help combat one of the main causes of climate change.

You can find more info about this collaboration here and if you’re ready to order yourself (and invite us over for) a bottle, it can be found on clos19.com
