POLLY ROCHE FOR FRÄULEIN DIGITAL
If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Mary Poppins so that she can enlighten me as to how she fits so much into her handbag, because I myself am quite the hoarder too
What’s the weirdest food combination you enjoy?
Chocolate covered olives
If your life was a movie, what would the title be, and who would play you?
Life is soup, I am fork. Martin Freeman.
Imagine you had a time machine for just one day, which historical event would you like to witness?
The Bands’ Last Waltz concert
Is there a go-to dance move when nobody’s watching?
Twerking
If you could communicate with one species of animal, which one would it be, and what would you ask them?
Snakes, to fuck off
What’s the most unusual talent or skill you possess?
I am unusually good at gurgling melodies. Whenever I used to be sick as a child, I had to gurgle heaps and heaps of salt water. I tried to alleviate the sheer disgust by gurgling songs I like. My heavy rotation was Azzurro – Adriano Celentano and Like a Rolling Stone – Bob Dylan
Imagine you were a superhero, what would your superpower be, and what would your superhero name be?
Pest pustule Polly. I would eat myself through the walls of beautiful buildings I don’t have access to, because I often wonder what they look like from the inside
What’s the most bizarre or memorable dream you’ve ever had?
To my detriment, I tend to forget my dreams. I had a dream two nights ago that I was flying around on a dragon made of snakeskin. I have an irrational snake phobia so I woke up drenched in sweat. One hell of a confrontational therapy if you ask me…
If you could switch lives with any person for a day, who would it be and why?
Prince Stash. From what I’ve gathered, the man has lived quite the life. He’s currently living in his whimsical, clutter-filled castle in Italy, telling tales of the past and the people he’s met along the way. A very captivating person.
Do you have a secret talent that not many people know about?
Finding songs that are similar to one another in the most nuanced or obvious ways. It’s kind of an obsession really.
Which imaginary universe would be your top choice for a place to live?
Any David Lynch universe!
In a zombie-infested world, which three things would you choose to have by your side for survival?
A camera (with a roll of film inside) and two rolls of film. I know I’m not gonna make it far so I might as well document the whole thing.
What’s the most unusual place you’ve visited, and what made it memorable?
Hanoi, Vietnam. The Chaos.
If you could have any animal as a pet, mythical or real, what would it be?
Loch Ness Monster
Can you tell us the strangest piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Never trust a man in a blue trench coat. Never drive a car when you’re dead. – Tom Waits
If you were a detective, what would your quirky trademark be?
Stumbling into things, not being taken seriously. Very Inspector Clouseau esque
What’s your signature karaoke song, and how do you perform it?
All shook up – Elvis. Upside down.
If you could create a holiday, what would it celebrate, and how would you celebrate it?
The day of the gherkin. I would make gherkin Martinis and make my friends carve obscure things into gherkins.
