Right in the middle of the week, we assemble and (of course) share several news that are on our minds and keep us on our toes.
ON FRÄULEIN´S MIND
CALVIN KLEIN – THIS IS LOVE CAMPAIGN
Calvin Klein’s latest campaign for their newest apparel, underwear and activewear collection, This is Love is an ode to the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating families, friends, partners, neighbors, and allies sharing what family means to them. The campaign highlights the spectrum of intentional and important connections within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Known individuals like the filmmaker John Waters, team members from LGBTQ youth organization The Trevor Project, legendary ballroom house House of Xtravaganza, actor Justice Smith and his actor boyfriend Nic Ashe or Afrofuturistic arts collective TRIBE took part in the series shot by John Edmond inviting the audience to peek the authentic selves. Each of the pieces from the This is Love collection features a hue from the Progress Pride Flag including a label the definition of each color of the Flag: Black for Beauty; Brown for Power; Pink for Sex; Orange for Healing; Yellow for Sunlight; Tan for Harmony; White for Nonbinary; Turquoise for Magic; Blue for Serenity.
MARC O´POLO – THE DROP 08
Marc O´Polo is launching a new collection with the free-roaming, rugged and colorful nature at the core – the Drop 08.
Earthy tones, icy Scandinavian blue, and vivid orange caught in finest double-faced wool, heavy knit and quilt styled in modern layering look timed for the autumn’s arrival. The cool sweat pieces give the collection a casual touch: a polo jumper, inspired by the Marc O’Polo archive, and wide-leg, high-waist trousers. Marc O´Polo is once again proving its mastery in the balance between fitted and oversized creating tension, contrast and expression in the silhouette.
The Drop 08 styles will be available from August.
