Rave Review FW22/23 – Paris Fashion Week
The Stockholm-based, high-end remake label launched their AW22 collection in Paris this week. Taking a walk down their memory lane to the Stockholm club scene in the late 1990s, the designers continued to develop the aesthetic agenda introduced last season. Bergqvist and Schück’ are a duo who definitely loves tartan and is not afraid to show it: skirts, coats and tops. Almost every piece is adorned with the pattern and adding to it a touch of punk through metal eyelets, bondage like straps and mesh tops. And with the opening of clubs in Berlin once again, we know this is a must.
Wandler x Michele Pred: THE POWER OF THE PURSE
Having always had an affinity and connection to art and design, Wandler knows the power of its accessories – they give you confidence and allow you to make a statement. This International Women’s Day Wandler is proud as a female led company to be doing things differently, by collaborating with Swedish-American artist and activist, Michele Pred on the subject of equal pay. The collaboration with Pred features the Hortensia Bag and recently launched Teresa Bag – each bag highlights the power of the purse and has EQUAL PAY emblazoned on both designs. In Pred’s Power of the Purse series she used purses as her canvas to bring attention to modern politically charged language from today’s female activists. For her, the use of purses is a reminder of how much power women have to make real change.
